Blue Sky Powered Paragliding is located in beautiful Northern California about 30 minutes north of Sacramento. Our main flying site is located near the town of Wheatland. We are locally owned and operated and have provided instruction to customers from Sacramento, Yuba City, Wheatland, Chico, Oroville, Lincoln, Davis. Our out-of-state customers are generally from Reno (a short 2 hour drive) but we have had customers from Las Vegas, Ohio, and even Nigeria!
Our business opened its doors in 2000 in Vacaville, California and has steadily expanded over the years. In 2003 we relocated to Tokyo, Japan where our school flourished and our first students began training to fly. This is the most awesome windsock and pole combination EVER! The 15 foot orange windsock is attached to a 17 foot (6 meter) telescoping fiberglass windsock pole that collapses to a convenient 39 inches when not in use.

The Pole:

5 meter (17 foot) telescoping pole for windsocks.

Purpose built for PPG and other flying sports- not a fishing pole!

Exceptional quality telescopic pole with some flexibility for those windy days. Stores easily and compact at only 39" (1 meter) in size!

Extends to the same height that your glider will be flying for takeoff and landing so you know what the wind is really doing at that height.

Large size tip- very strong
Each section has a steel ring at the top for added strength
1 meter length when collapsed
5 meter length when extended

The Windsock:

The windsock is designed to give you the most efficient wind indicator at a glance.

If the winds are:

less than 3mph. The sock will be limp.

4-7mph. The sock will be at a 45 degree angle

8+mph. The sock will be at 90 degree angle

The sock is bright aviation orange. There is a stiffener at the mouth to maintain shape.

*NOTE: Please do not select "Flat Rate small box" as a shipping option. The flat rate box is about the size of a textbook and we cant fit a windsock pole inside. Since we cant delete this as a shipping option we ask that you select the proper shipping method or we will have to call you to settle up the additional shipping cost.
